View from second floor of Palace
El Mirador and the Portal Arch appear on opposite sides of the Sacbé, while a portion of the catch-basin of the chultun on the 2nd floor of the Palace appears in the forground.
The Sacbé was raised & plastered
Sacbé-ob were "white roads" which linked locations within a city as well as connected cities with each other. This Sacbe links the portal arch and El Mirador with the palace.
It is easy to imagine processions and festivals on this ceremonial white road.
The sacbé leads to entry arch
The sacbé begins at the great entry arch and leads to the palace throne room.
