El Mirador and the Portal Arch appear on opposite sides of the Sacbé, while the catch-basin of the chultun on the 2nd floor of the Palace appears in the forground.
Sacbe-ob were "white roads" which linked locations within a city as well as connected cities with each other.
This Sacbe links the portal arch area with the palace.
It is easy to imagine delegations of visiting dignitaries approaching the palace over this ceremonial white road.
