Balakmu Frieze: Earth Monster [January 4, 2003]
The earth monster supports and gives rise to all other elements in the frieze. Wicked-looking serpents extends from both sides of the monster's mouth.
To the right of the panel, one can see the padded paw of a jaguar who sits cross-legged on a zig-zag border. The jaguar wears bracelets and has a bow hanging from his belt.
