Lintel 3

Yaxchilan: Structure 33 Lintel 3 [January 3, 2004]

"Bird Jaguar incorporated the hotun ending into his accession structure. Since that day was also an anniversary of his accession, he wore the coiled-serpent headdress, a backrack, and held the God K manikin scepter and the GIII shield. He impersonated Chac Xib Chac, symbolized by the GI diadem, the Venus symbol on the back of his headdress, and the crossed-bands pectoral (obscured by jade beads)...

...His comrade, called a 3 Katun Cahal, carries the same dynastic accession regalia that Bird Jaguar does. His headdress includes a God K base, a skyband segment, and an akbal medallion. It is possible that this man was made Cahal during this ceremony, but it is not specifically stated in the glyphs."
