"The murals in Room 3 have suffered the most damage. Nonetheless, it is clear that they depict a great ceremony, probably the one that culminates the sequence of events commemorated in rooms 1 and 2. The ceremony seems to be divided into two parts...The second, in a more private setting inside a palace, includes...the royal family, seated on a dais like that seen in Room 1. In this last scene the royal family performs a bloodletting ritual to complete and seal the heir-designation ritual cycle."
